Sabbath Stillness Silent Retreat Days

Thursday, February 23; Wednesday, March 21; Tuesday, April 24

The word "Sabbath" comes from the Hebrew word Shabbat, which means "to cease." Biblically it was first used in the Creation account: “…God rested on the seventh day from all the work God had done” (Genesis 2:2). God blessed this day of rest and it was holy. This invitation to rest is for each one of us – that we may be blessed and renewed by resting from the work we have been doing.  We invite you to give yourself a gift of Sabbath time; to come into the stillness and the silence and rest with God.  These days will be cushioned in prayer.  Scripture passages and reflection questions will be made available and a single bedroom provided.  Come away to a quiet place where you can find “rest for your souls”.

“Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens  and I will give you rest.”  (Matt. 11:28)
